Stereotactic Radiosurgery

If you're one of the millions of Americans who has been diagnosed with a cancer that's difficult to treat, a new wave in cancer therapy - Novalis® "Shaped Beam Surgery" offers new hope. Radiosurgery, or shaped beam surgery, is a treatment delivered with surgical precision. It is a non-invasive, thus bloodless procedure. This procedure is now available at the Silver Spring location of Maryland Regional Cancer Care. This innovative new treatment is a cooperative effort with both Holy Cross and Shady Grove Adventist Hospitals.

One benefit of implementing stereotactic radiosurgery at MRCC is support of the International Early Lung Cancer Project, Holy Cross Hospital's lung cancer screening initiative. To read about the International Early Lung Cancer Project at Holy Cross Hospital, visit HCH Early Lung Screening Project.

Answers to most patient questions can be found at the Novalis® site: Patient Information .
